After some two weeks on nail biting, rushing our work, sitting and staring at the computer screen, mugging ( well, only for those of us who enjoy indulging in our national pastime anyway), exams are finally over and now we can sit back comfortably and start nail biting, rushing our work, sitting and staring at the computer ( well, see above). Exams are over, and we have got a tonne of deadlines coming up ( just the deadlines mind you, don't get me started on the work we have to do ).
We all thought life after the exams would be great ( well, okay, not reaaally, but we seriously thought it would be better.... reaally) but like so many other things in life ( right up there with sex and Christmas celebrations, so i have been told) it is so much better to travel hopefully than to arrive. The time arrives, we cluch it to our chests, and all we could think off, it seems is whether we could have done better if we just have put it that little bit of extra effort.
Well i guess we can always do better at almost anything, but against the argument that we can do better, there is always the one that it is equally possible that we can do worse. I know this is an essentially negative philosophy, for the losers so to speak, but thats okay, because there will inevitably be more losers than winners, so if one cannot be a good philosopher, one can at least settle for being a popular one.
